Supplied in very good original condition, and in a protective cardboard sleeve.  Uncut pages.

Includes a frontispiece photo of Phillis, and photographs at the back of Phillis on the island at Long Gores, at the pyramids, and ascending Mount Sinai on a camel.  Also includes a printed slip “sent at the request of Miss M. Pallis”.

Phillis Ursula (née Riddle) Clarke was Marietta’s companion between the 1920s and her death, in Cyprus, in 1955.  Her body was subsequently reinterred on the Double-Headed Eagle Island at Long Gores, Hickling, in 1959.
