oil on card, very approx. 40X50cm when sides are cut down and squared

It is just possible that this may be a picture of a Ralli Relative of Marietta’s, Ioannis (John) Ralli. A very similar-looking subject was painted in London in 1898 by the Danish artist Arild Rosenkrantz and named as being Ioannis Ralli. It has not been possible to establish whether either of the two possible John Rallis would have been active in London/the UK at that time. Far less whether Marietta would have known him, or Arild Rosenkrantz.
